The #BeeYourBest UK tour kicked off with a fantastic start at the School School of Medicine and Biosciences at the University of West London! The event featured an insightful talk by Prof. Beatrice Opeolu on “Unraveling the Bittersweet Cocktails of Emerging Contaminants in Aquatic Ecosystems.” This first stop set the tone for a tour dedicated to addressing critical issues at the intersection of science, sustainability, and social impact.

Prof. Beatrice highlighted the pressing issues our society faces due to advancements in science. Emerging contaminants, such as those found in food sources, pharmaceuticals, and even some clothing and textiles, pose significant risks to aquatic ecosystems and human health.
